June 30th Session One Description:
In his presentations Wing shows the variety of ways he has photographically interacted
with thousands of strangers to create images that go below the surface to suggest
complex narratives. Multiple points of views are engaged when participants are asked to
discuss what they see in his culturally loaded photos that are open to interpretation.
Back-stories to the photos are then revealed to complicate and challenge initial
perceptions.
July 7th Session Two Description:
Participants will give a brief introduction about their photography and what they want to
get out of this workshop. Then discuss what and how they will photograph in the
following week that will challenge them to get outside of their bubbles. To understand
yourself it is important to understand the world around you!
Brief introduction on your photo interests and what you want to get out of this
workshop (20 minutes)
Presentation (60 minute)
Discuss what you will do (30 minute)
July 12th Session Three Description:
Participants will present the photographs taken during the week for group feedback and
help each other choose which ones they will display in the exhibit.
Final Exhibit in August (To be Determined)
